Hey Guys,
Today's blog is basically what happened in choir today.
Now last year I was in show choir, if you don't know what show choir is it's like Glee I suppose. If you don't know what Glee is, please.. do your research!
I had my show choir audition after choir. Like the class after choir. I was so prepared to have my audition during choir! But nope.. it took to long, and after choir my voice was no longer there. (If you want to hear how I sing check out my YouTube channel TRU341)
My teacher has to video tape me dancing, and singing, and with my warmups. Which is kind of weird, because then these "judges" will watch the video and determine if I am in show choir or not.
A lot of my friends said "You'll make it no matter what cause you're their favorite!" Yeah right! Whatever you think, it's a chance for me, and their choice.
Anyways, I went in there and had to say my name, which is weird since my teacher has known my name for about 3 years. But I said my name anyway.
We did this vocal warmup like a repeat this note after me. It went all over the place with ranges! From high to low, I was trying out for Alto so my voice wasn't really ready for highness. My voice kind of strained a tad with the high voices, which is weird since I can usually sing up high.. I guess my nerves got to me.
After that, we had to sing the chorus of "True Colors" by Cyndi Lauper. For me, in the alto range. I must say, I did pretty good on that part! Then we danced to the chorus (without singing) to the song "Brighter Than the Sun" by Colbie Caillat. Which I did okay on, dancing isn't really my thing.
As I was dancing I eyed my teachers a few times, which made it even more awkward. She slightly smiled, probably trying to make it seem like I was good. Which made me think I was even more terrible...
Oh well! Up to them now!
Comment Below telling me what was an awkward situation with you at school.
Keep Smiling,
Teri
